Skyjacks (Tailifts) is a manufacturer and supplier of vehicle lifts, which was acquired by Micron in August 2014.

Skyjacks has been running for over 17 years and in that time has established itself as the leader in the South African hydraulic lift market.
Re-branding Skyjacks to Skyjacks Tailifts was a necessary step in this merger, and Penquin was asked to design a logo that represented Skyjacks Tailifts as a company, and in terms of their actual service and product:

The focus of Skyjacks Tailifts is on constantly updating products with the latest technology, with a turn-around time unmatched by any other company. All lifts use standard parts for easy maintenance and repair.

We focused on the function of the product, as well as the branded areas that are required by the company – mud-flaps, lift chevrons, and the like. We also took into account the impact we would need to make, and the robust nature of the tail lifts.
